FALLS CHURCH, Va. –
Planning for your retirement can feel as overwhelming as it is exciting. So when it comes to knowing about your health care options, TRICARE has a webinar to help you navigate this new phase of life. Register for the July 21 webinar, “
What Happens to Your TRICARE Coverage After Retiring?,” from 1 to 2 p.m. ET. The webinar will provide you with an overview of how your
status change affects you and your family’s medical coverage. You must
register to participate.
“Whether you’re retiring from active duty or the National Guard or Reserve, there’s a TRICARE plan to meet your needs,” said Zelly Zim, program analyst with the TRICARE Health Plan Division. “It’s important for you to know what your options are so you can make the best decision for you and your family.”
The webinar will cover TRICARE options for these types of retirement:
- Service members who completed 20 or more years of active service or are medically retired before 20 years
- National Guard and Reserve Component members who completed 20 or more years of qualifying service when they reach age 60
- Retired Reservists who may be eligible for retirement pay prior to age 60
As described in the
TRICARE Retiring from Active Duty Brochure and
TRICARE Retiring from the National Guard or Reserve Brochure, you can expect some changes with your TRICARE coverage after retiring. This webinar will help you learn what those changes are; what your new
health plan options are and what actions to take to ensure coverage;
pharmacy,
dental, and
vision coverage available to you; and much more.
Be prepared for your retirement. Join the
July 21 webinar to hear from TRICARE experts, and participate in a post-presentation Q&A. Don’t wait to register, as registration is limited.
