FALLS CHURCH, Va. — Resources on suicide prevention the entire military family can use.

Staff assigned to Naval Hospital Bremerton's OB-GYN clinic display a number of the instruments and devices associated with patient-centered care during the walk-in contraceptive clinic, an essential part of women's health services provided at NHB. The Defense Health Agency recently issued an Administrative Instruction for access to walk-in contraception services across the Military Health System, letting beneficiaries discuss and receive their preferred and medically appropriate care.

When it comes to the need for donated blood, soldiers on the battlefield understand. For Marines witnessing a member of their unit in danger of losing life or limb, it locks in quickly. They instinctively begin lining up to give because they see the human face behind the small needle sting and the hanging bag of blood.

Both whole blood and COVID-19 convalescent plasma from those who have recovered from COVID-19 remain in high demand. All 21 donor centers adhere to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

FALLS CHURCH, Va. — If you haven’t had your flu shot yet, it’s not too late. Military hospitals and clinics are receiving the remainder of their annual flu vaccines now. If you don’t normally get your care at a military hospital or clinic, remember you can still get your flu shot for free in other ways. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone 6 months of age and older gets a flu vaccine annually.
