FALLS CHURCH, Va. –
Will you soon be eligible for Medicare and TRICARE For Life (TFL) coverage? If yes, be sure to join the TRICARE webinar, “
TRICARE For Life: Coverage Basics, Eligibility, and Costs,” on April 15, from 1 to 2 p.m. ET to learn important information on how TFL works. The webinar will include a presentation and Q&A. You must register if you want to participate.
What is TFL?
TFL is Medicare-wraparound coverage for military retirees and their TRICARE-eligible family members who have both Medicare Part A and Part B. As described in the
TRICARE For Life Handbook, once you’re entitled to Medicare Part A, have Part B, and show as eligible in the
Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS), you automatically get TFL benefits.
“You should check that your information in DEERS is current and sign up for Medicare as soon as you’re first eligible to do so,” said Anne Breslin, TRICARE For Life program manager with the Defense Health Agency. “Following these steps will help make sure that you don’t have a break in your TRICARE coverage and you get your TFL benefits on time.”
When to sign up for Medicare and DEERS are just some of the key topics that Breslin will highlight during the webinar. You can also look forward to learning how Medicare and TRICARE work together. The webinar will touch on who can use TFL, how to get care, what costs you pay, and more.
Don’t miss the
April 15 TRICARE webinar for information and resources to help you make the most of your TFL coverage. Remember,
you must register. Registration for the webinar is on a first come, first served basis.
