Easily manage your prescriptions with Express Scripts Pharmacy mobile app

By TRICARE Communications

Life is busy, so it’s important you have the prescriptions you need when you need them. The TRICARE Pharmacy Program, administered by Express Scripts, makes staying on top of your prescription drugs easy. How? Through the free Express Scripts Pharmacy mobile app. The app lets you locate TRICARE retail network pharmacies and securely manage your medications by ordering prescriptions, tracking orders, requesting and canceling refills, and completing other tasks.

“The Express Scripts Pharmacy mobile app simplifies and streamlines your pharmacy experience,” said Lt. Col. Leighcraft Shakes, Deputy Chief, Pharmacy Benefit Integration Branch at the Defense Health Agency. “By offering these options at your fingertips, the app ensures that you can stay up to date with everything prescription related, from ordering refills, to updating your delivery address, to setting dose reminders.”

Want to learn how the app can help you? Just follow these easy steps:

  1. Download the free app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to your mobile device.
  2. Log in using your Express Scripts username and password. (If you don’t have an account yet, you can easily register for one. For your security, the app uses two-step verification.)
  3. Once logged in, you’re all set to explore the app’s features.

View and order prescription drugs

The app allows you to see the medications you’re taking. You can order your prescriptions and see their status before you head to the pharmacy. Want to switch to getting your medications through TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery? It’s easy through the app, and your prescriptions are delivered right to your door.

TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery will ship to any address in the U.S. or U.S. territories, including APO/FPO addresses. To learn more about home delivery, including costs and any applicable shipping restrictions, visit TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery.

Express Scripts Mobile App home screen: "Welcome; Prescriptions; See your medicine list; Recent Orders; Check your order status; COVID-19 Vaccination; See your vaccination record; Pay a Bill; $0.00 current balance; Choose Delivery; We'll ship your medication to your door; Dose Reminder; Set a reminder for your medication;"

Approve refill orders

To review and approve your refills —whether at your local pharmacy or through TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery—log in to your account. Then, select “Prescriptions” to view your prescription list and manage your refills.

Track order status

Want to know when your prescription will be ready? The mobile app makes it easy:
  • See when your medication is ready for pickup at your pharmacy.
  • Track the order, processing, and shipping status of your TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery prescriptions—all in real time.

To check your order status online:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to “Prescriptions,” then select “Order History.”
  3. Look under “Recent Order Status” to track your order.

Set up dose reminders

It can be hard to remember to take your medications on time. The app can help:
  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Tap “More” at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select “Dose Reminders” to add or manage reminders for your medications.

Manage your delivery address

Need to update your delivery address because you're being deployed, moving, or going on vacation? The app makes it simple to change your delivery address at any time.

Make payments

The Express Scripts Pharmacy mobile app makes paying for prescriptions simple. You can pay online or set up automatic payments for home delivery orders.

Active duty service members pay $0 for up to a 90-day supply of medication when they use a military pharmacy, TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery, or a TRICARE retail network pharmacy. For more details, see the TRICARE Costs and Fees Fact Sheet.
