New Army policy better enables victims to report sexual assault

A new policy recently implemented by the Army is designed to help remove possible barriers that may prevent Soldiers from reporting sexual assault. Army Directive 2022-10, Safe-to-Report for Victims of Sexual Assault, provides sexual assault victims certain protections from disciplinary action for minor collateral misconduct that may be associated with the sexual assault incident.

FORT BELVOIR, Va. (August 4, 2021)— Two new pieces of art created by the U. S. Army Artist in Residence, Sgt. 1st Class Curt Loter, were unveiled Wednesday August 4 during a ceremony at the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. The artwork depicts scenes of Army Medical Soldiers responding to the COVID-19 crisis.
