DHA hosts a virtual Women's Equality Day observance with DHA Director Lt. Gen. Ronald J. Place and Commanding General for Regional Health Command-Atlantic Brig. Gen. Mary V. Krueger, Aug. 11, 2022. The theme for this year's event was: Empowered Women Strengthening the Nation. In 1970 Congress established Women's Equality Day to celebrate the ratification of the 19th Amendment as a major step to remove barriers to women's full participation in American public life. The observance has grown to include focusing attention on women's continued efforts toward gaining full equality in every aspect of life, personally and professionally.
